Hello to all Book4Bookers!

After a relaxing summer we are back to exchange our books and start the new school year!

Book4Book proudly attended Researchers Night 2015 in National Technical University of Athens on 25 September:

There we had the opportunity to talk to hundreds of students and parents, presenting our platform and discussing sustainable solutions for schools:

We would like to thank NTUA for hosting the event, as well as our little friends and their parents who were interested in using Book4Book to offer their books, instead of giving them for recycling.

We wait you all as member in our platform to join and exchange books!

Book4Book team in TEDx Thessaloniki

March 18, 2014 in News by kassie papasotiriou

Dear Book4Book members,

We would like to announce our presence to TEDx Thessaloniki during these days, in order to present our vision to make the book delivery and exchange processes more sustainable.
This is the announcement by TEDx concerning the event:
tedx

See more at: http://www.tedxthessaloniki.com/the-game-is-never-over-ideas/

Kassie from Book4Book was there last Saturday 15 March, to present Book4Book share our ideas to the TEDx audience, giving us the opportunity to spread the word for Book4Book to the TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) global community.

From the TEDx website:

January 8, 2014 in News by kassie papasotiriou

Hi everybody!

The Book4Book team would like to wish you a happy and prosperous year! May 2014 bring you joy along with eco-friendly ideas and of course many books from Book4Book!

The purpose of this newsletter is to report on the full day book exchange workshop that took place on Sunday 22 of December 2013 on Athinas Street (centre of Athens).

The event was organized together with the Municipality of Athens in the context of the “SynAthina” platform, and attracted numerous people, students and parents, who brought their old books and turned the gathering into a successful mass exchange!

Moreover, the public Greek TV Channel “ΔΤ” was present, to film the event and interview the Book4Book team for the 4Greece show:

We were thus given the chance to present our platform to a broader audience and invite them to join our initiative.

Overall, we were delighted to organize this event and we were really excited to see people massively participating and exchanging their books.

Looking forward to the next time. Way to go Book4Book!!

Invitation to book exchange event in the context of “SynAthina”

December 16, 2013 in News by kassie papasotiriou

Hello to all Book4Book members and supporters!

We are happy to announce that we are organizing a full day book exchange workshop along with the Municipality of Athens in the context of the “SynAthina” platform:

http://www.book4book.gr/event/ημερίδα-ανταλλαγής-βιβλίων-στα-πλαισ/

Do you have books that are simply taking up space and dust on your shelf? Need something else?

Book4Book is a social content initiative that allows users (students, parents and teachers) to post online school (or other) books that they want to offer and books that they need and then organize open meetings for exchanging them.
We are expecting all of you to join us to SynAthina roof opposite of the Varvakeio market (on Athinas Street) on Sunday 22 of December 2013 at 12.00, to exchange books and lose yourselves in their pages.

Lastly, we want to wish a merry Christmas to everybody! May the new year find you healthy with many interesting books under your possession!
